The 16U Elgin Rippers had a very successful 2004 summer season. The Rippers had a 70% winning record while significantly improving their baseball skills. Look for many of these players to make great contributions to their varsity team in the Spring of 2005.
The 16U Elgin Rippers were the Champions of the Fox Valley Colt League. The Rippers took second place at the Trout Park 16U Invitational losing to Elmhurst in the 7th Inning. The Rippers also placed 2nd in the State in the Illinois Babe Ruth Tournament. The Rippers lost to the Souteast Chicago All-Stars in the last inning.
The Elgin Rippers were composed of players from Larkin High School (Elgin, IL), Dundee-Crown High School (Dundee, IL), Burlington High School (Burlington, IL), Jacobs High School (Algonquin, IL), St. Edwards High School (Elgin, IL) and Westminster Christian High School (Elgin, IL)
